When accessing data through Teranet, each participating municipality is required to choose from a number of standard or enhanced delivery options and sign a delivery and support contract prior to delivery. Depending on their needs, municipalities can select a standard delivery package or add enhanced services to meet special requirements, remitting the appropriate delivery fee.
Once a licence has been granted to a municipality, they are entitled to receive parcel data for all of the lands over which they have jurisdiction, as well as a buffer zone, where available, of lands that lie in adjacent municipalities but directly abut their boundaries.
With the exception of polygonised data formats, updates
to the map base provided to participating municipalities
will be based on map blocks (a predefined geographic
area, identified by a five-digit block number, which
contains an average of 300 to 500 parcels) that have
been updated since the previous delivery.
Some of the standard delivery options available to
municipalities are:
-
Choice of standard delivery format such as AutoCAD
(DXF, DWG) and Microstation (DGN);
-
Choice of polygonised data formats for parcel
polygons (ESRI SHAPE file, Intergraph GeoMedia,
MapInfo);
-
Choice of projection/datum;
-
Choice of delivery frequency.
Through MNR’s LIO Warehouse, the standard delivery for the parcel data includes:
-
Choice of SNIF shape files (polygonised parcels) or AutoCAD DXF v12 files in a packaged product (for MNR List Users depending upon jurisdiction)
-
NAD83 (datum)
-
Geographic (latitude/ongitutde)
-
Delivery of data is upon request
